The project “ELAK im Bund” (electronic file) is considered a European showcase for the implementation of e-government strategies. The Austrian federal ministries have been creating, managing and processing their business documents fully electronically since 2004.

Provincial governments

Eight of nine provincial governments in Austria rely on the Fabasoft eGov-Suite. Most recently, the province of Burgenland awarded Fabasoft the contract for the introduction of “b.elak”.
